The Dualers
The Dualers consist of two brothers, Si and Tyber Cranstoun.Being brought up listening to the likes of The Blues Busters, Lord Creator, Stranger Cole, Bob Marley, The Skatalites, Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, to name but a few, they have been influenced to perform a blend of Ska/Soul/Reggae. Father of The Dualers, and '60's Ska promoter, Bill Cranstoun, has also been major involvement in their love for this music. After busking on the streets of Croydon, Bromley, Kingston, Romford, Canterbury its time for them to make it big!Their debut single “Kiss On The Lips†entered the charts at number 21 on Sunday 24th October 2004 without national coverage or airplay.
Able to stay ahead of established artists such as Bjork, amougst others, the single stayed in the charts for a second week at number 33.In November 2005 we saw the release of their second chart hitting single 'Truly, Madly, Deeply'. With the help of Gut Records, the single came in the charts at number 23.The recent release of third single 'Don't Go' comes the release of their new long awaited album 'The Melting Pot', out July 2006.Si and Tyber have played alongside some of the largest names in Ska/Reggae including The Skatalites, Toots and The Maytals, and more recently Ziggy Marley at the Shepherds Bush Empire.Tyber, along with manager and promoter Steve Edwards, recently opened his first club night, Skavoovie @ Pop, located in Soho Street, Tottenham Court Road.
