Influences: Early Jamaican music....ska/rocksteady/reggae.....from the Crystalites to the Paragons, from Derrick Morgan to Techniques......also, UK bands the Cosmics and 100 Men for leading the way in how it should be done....and US bands Hepcat and the Slackers for setting standards still not beaten. Boss.
Sounds Like: Been called in the press, 'the UK Skatalites'...very nice...also Metal Hammer said we were the UK equivalent of Hepcat, extra nice!! There are so many good bands playing so called 'trad' ska now, anywhere between Hepcat, Rude Rich,the Slackers and the Aggrolites would make us happy! But everyone has their own flavour, as Greg from Hepcat said..so we sound like us!! It's uncluttered, not too jazzy, plain and hard hitting like the old ska records.....and we write tunes how we think they would have been written....no pop bridges etc where we can help it...but we do like to play the full deck of cards....not just ska instrumentals or skinhead reggae...everything is in the live set.
