About Me

I am a Nashville-based educator, musician, percussionist and martial artist. I moved to Music City in 2005 and love it here. I have been most fortunate to perform with an incredible array of musicians including Joshua Redman, Fred Hersch, Curtis Fuller, Brad Goode, Frank Vignola, Keith Lockhart, and a myriad of other musicians, conductors, and producers over the years. As a bandleader I have released three critically acclaimed albums and am getting ready to put out the fourth in the not too distant future.Since coming to Nashville I have toured across parts of the United States with guitarist Rodney Branigan, country artist Jennifer Brantley, rock band Flair, Dave Isaacs and many others. I continue to work with some of Nashville's finest musicians including Adam Nitti (featured on my upcoming album), Dave Webb, and now Corinne Gooden. My recorded discography includes more than 20 albums.I am a full time audio production instructor at the Art Institute of TN-Nashville and have been teaching there for a year. Before that I was on the faculty of World Music Nashville and the College Conservatory of Music Prep. Department. This summer I will be studying Brazilian music in Campinas, SP with a fantastic array of musicians and percussionists. It will be my second trip.Outside of that I am an active martial artist and fitness nut. I ran the 2006 Chicago Marathon and the 2006 Country Music 1/2 Marathon. Most recently I've been incredibly active in various forms of Mixed Martial Arts...including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, American Kickboxing and regular boxing. I am training for the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Championships and have competed in numerous tournaments thus far. I am excited about entering the world of kickboxing as well. I look forward to moving up the ladder with great teachers at Nashville MMA and the Boxing Resource Center here in Nashville.
