This is Dave Herzog from sunny Key West, Florida. Wow! What a ride. From playing drums in rock bands in the Midwest to playing Caribbean steel drums in the Florida Keys. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure it's really real!
After saying goodbye to the cold winters of Minnesota, my wife, Barb, and I bought a sailboat and we cruised the coasts of Florida, while I played solo in many of the tiki bars along the way, 'til we reached the end of the road in Key West. We thought we'd stay for a few months and that was seven years ago!
During those seven years I headed north during the summers to the Lakes Area of Minnesota where I played steel drums with the band "Island Time". That all changed when I first heard "Howard Livingston & the Mile Marker 24 band" in the Florida Keys. I realized that playing and touring with Mile Marker 24 would be a dream come true.
Now, as a member of the "Mile Marker 24 Band" playing steel drums and percussion, I'm looking forward to playing the best venues in the Florida Keys and hitting some of the hot spots in our northern summer tours! Hope to catch you along the way!!

House Parties are Back!!
Our summer tour is filling up fast and we are probably going to be in your area. We will keep everyone updated through our websites and newsletters. We also are going to offer our “House Parties†again this year. We started doing this last year and it was such a success.
Basically you can have the Mile Marker 24 Band perform in your back yard, street, or wherever. Just invite a bunch of your friends over and have a party Keys style. We’ll do the rest.
If you’re interested contact our planning folks at www.milemarker24.com or
[email protected] and they will give you an outline of how house parties work, and help you with everything.
