Well I am half Italian half Fillipina and a mother of three and a grandmother(Nona) of three. Was diagnosed with stage IV colonrectal cancer in October 2005 went under surgeries,chemo,radiation found out it mastisize to the right lung went under more surgery & chemo & extense chemo petscan showed that cancer is still growing now in both lungs & lymphnodes there is no cure for me at the moment I am going through the clinical trials @ Va. Oncology hoping this will work. I will not give up!!! We have to find that cure if not for me then for someone else... I AM A FIGHTER & WILL KEEP ON FIGHTING TILL THE END & KEEP ON SMILING!!!!!!! [UPDATE] Today 6-23rd-08 went to the Drs. results from catscan is that some of the cancers are growing slowly & some of the other cancers are being stable right now. I am able to stay with the clinical trials until we do another scan in August 2008 if it stays under 20% & being stable I am able to stay with the program if 20%& over I will have to wait & look for something else. Like I said I will keep on fighting till the end & keep on smiling!!! LIVING STRONG!!! :-) UPDATE!! Well today August 18th 2008 just came back from the doctor's office my catscan did not come back with good results..I am not in the study at this time. Cancer is growing aggressively,waiting for the next study to come up that will hopefully kill this cancer. Iam gonna fight this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)PLEASE NO PITTY!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all my family & friends for your support!!! :) THANKS BOBBIE FOR BEING MY EVERYTHING!!!!!! :) UPDATE!!! TODAY AUGUST 25,2008 went to see the doctor and we are not going to do experimental drugs again. This time we are going back to chemo so we can try to slow the growing of the cancer,also found a small spot in the liver....WoW!!!UNTIL NEXT UPDATE!! Went to my chemo treatment August 27th been feeling sick until today September 1st 2008 I feel a little better.. As I mentioned before that there is no cure for me,so I have decided to stop doing the chemo I'm sorry to all of you to let you all down I want to enjoy the rest of my life with freinds and family and live life to it's fullest like I was doing..I don't want to be sick and not to enjoy everything I love life and I want to enjoy it.... I WILL KEEP ON SMILING,KEEP ON FIGHTING & LIVINGSTRONG!!!!UPDATE SEPTEMBER 18TH Went to see my oncologist I'm going to try another type of chemo hopefully this one will be better... I went had chemo September 24,2008 was feeling great afterwards 6 days later started to breakout was expecting it but did not expect my face to be swollen,red,crusty and yucky suposse to have chemo on Oct 08,2008 not happening my nurse suggested I should see the doctor before treatment... Went to see my doctor and everything looks normal he says the medicine is doing good.. He cut my dose in half my next chemo day is now Oct 16th 2008...OMG my face looks terrible..... I'm still fighting this beast till next time......
