About Me

Welcome to the myspace page I created to promote my music. I'm a jazz drummer, vibraphonist, and composer from Long Island NY. I've been playing music pretty much all my life. I write a lot of original music. Early on while developing my style, I was greatly influenced by various drummers like Joe Morello, Philly Joe Jones, Art Blakey, Connie Kay, and Elvin Jones. Early musical influences were Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, The Baja Marimba Band, Chuck Mangione, Dave Brubeck, The Modern Jazz Quartet, and The Ramsey Lewis Trio. I'm really into Bill Evans. I really dig his whole approach and concept of music. Other favorites are Vince Guaraldi for his unique compositions and piano playing, Chuck Mangione and Pat Metheny for their lyrical and melodic characteristics, and The Ramsey Lewis Trio for their creativity. As far as education, I'm attending the New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music in Manhattan. I'm also a huge Twilight Zone fan!
