MISSION : ALIEN KARMA'S music is here to represent the HOPE of a GLOBE free of the brutal oppressors, with standards of dignity for ALL LIFE. PEOPLE should not have to starve in miserable conditions just because they are born into a third world country, or because they are born into the wrong color or socio-economic class in the "first world". People here complain about fucking starbucks coffee flavors meanwhile some mother is watching their AIDS infested babies die of starvation and filth related diseases. It is unacceptable that billions of people AND animals are subject to the most inhumane torturous conditions possibly imaginable every year and their story is mocked at best and largely untold. ALIEN KARMA uses instruments (acoustic and electronic replicas) from around the world to remind people of these MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN that are dehumanized with the sole purpose of making filthy rich people getting EVEN MORE RICHES. COLLECTIVELY, if righteous anger at these ELITISTS is brought out of us, balanced with a thirst for knowledge and a reverence of the UNKNOWN, great things can happen.
These SOUNDS and IDEAS work their way into grimy production, mixed with MUSICAL INTERPERTATIONS of the I Ching. -------------HISTORY: ALIEN KARMA is experimental ambient Horror/Sci-Fi/ influenced production intent on global RECULTURALIZATION. =-=-=-=-=-The first ALIEN KARMA CD was called EXD/Music For Drama released in 2002 A.D. That album went across country COURTESY OF GREYHOUND, and was released by hand (many times for free) from NY to Vegas. The second CD EXTRA-DIMENSIONAL JAZZ was released in 2003 A.D. and went all around NY from open jams to bars and pubs, metal shows to parking lot rap circles and random acts of socialibility. In the interim Steve's personal life has been a roller coaster of extreme successes and failures but its still ALL LOVE. If you thought the music was eclectic and mood altering in the past, you can expect the new album to be even more in depth. Steve has been playing drums and percussion since 1993 A.D. He got into music production at Five Towns College in 2000 A.D. while playing in brutal metal bands (Peace to Ballistic, All But Lost, DMD of The Aphelion), kickin' the beats for the Five Towns College SWING BAND, SMALL JAZZ ENSEMBLES and also playing LIVE HIP HOP BEATS with like minded musicians (peace to Big Jeff). After learning the basics of computer audio recording and music production Steve began to compose the grimiest grittiest hip-hop orientated beats. Currently you can catch Steve playing with the most EXTREME BRUTAL METAL players in Brooklyn and recording OLD SCHOOL VINYLS with the funkiest cats in Long Island.(Peace to Black Cat)
