About Me

In the summer of '05, four guys got together to learn some covers and drink beer on Sundays. After a few months of doing this we decided that maybe we should try our hand at writing a couple of originals just to see what happens. After learning some tunes, we thought we'd try to book a show. This proved more difficult than expected. After begging every music venue place in Wilmington to let us play we finally "tricked" The Ale House into giving us a shot. At our first show we played every song we knew, yep that's right all 8 songs were played; thank God for the opening band right! Our entire set took roughly 30 minutes to play. Needless to say we jammed out a few of these songs to cover our alloted time. But the Ale House was packed out (thanks to our friends) and our name immediately began to grow in the area. In that first year we played about 70 shows from Wilmington, Greenville, Morrisville, and Raleigh. Now we're in '07 and we're becoming a force in the local and regional music scene. Jeff Reed from "The Beat" magazine called us, "one of the most popular young bands in Wilmington." From the nastiness of Les Britt on the electric guitar, the ridiculous bass lines of Taylor Lee, the steady beat of drummer Drew Massey, to the saturating voice of Scott Carter, Quarter Roy is hear for awhile. We hope you enjoy our music and be sure to support us and all other local musicians as well.
