Poppermost has been chosen as Best Local R&B Band in the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Reader's Pick for The Best of Las Vegas 2007.
"…Poppermost isn't an obvious fit for this category. But while not a straight-up R&B act in the traditional sense of the term, these hot-blooded rockers do possess a bit more soul than many of their peers, which manifests itself in a slick, steady groove…"
Not bad for an indie pop band, eh?

My Interests

Art. Music. Computers (Apple Mac!). Politics (liberal!). Vegetarian (health & animal rights!). Flying. And I have a patent for a cam operated clamp that I designed.
Audio: producing, engineering, recording. Video: production. Graphic design: fine & commercial art, photography, web design - Trimordial Studio Las Vegas - Audio Video & Graphics .
Santa Fe, New Mexico; Sedona, Arizona; Fredericksburg, Texas (near Austin), see my website, Hill Country Scene and my MySpace page, Hill Country , about the arts and music of the central Texas Hill Country.
Feng Shui, and music and color therapy, see my website, DeStress Spa - Music, Color, & Aroma Relaxation & Stress Relief Alternative Therapy Facility .
Farrah Reizana and I also developed a computer themed nightclub, see our website, Hackerz Niteclub or The Neght Club .
And I help my brother put on his annual Public Defender Las Vegas Retreat every year.
They should put solar collectors over parking lots, then we could park in the shade and make electricity too.
There are some people that I haven't seen for a very long time that I am curious about. From Banfield: Peggy Sherman, Gail Williams, and Bill Helgeson. From Winona: Rick Brunberg and Jeff Gappa.
Pet Peeves: People who don't use turn signals (I flash at them), people who run red stop lights (I honk at them), and people who litter (that's butts too). And also people who use programs to add friends, that's really lame! I add friends one at a time because I like you, or think you might like me.
Quote: "One of the things that really upsets me is when people say, 'I'm not political.' It's upsetting because what do they think politics is? Politics is about who you are, where you stand, what your responsibility is. It's about being part of the world and part of the community. So when someone says 'I'm not political,' I feel like what they are saying is 'I only care about myself. In my bathtub. Me and my bathtub is what I care about.'" -- Julianne Moore

Music:

I play bass and do audio, video, and graphics for my Las Vegas based original indie sunshine pop band, Poppermost , with Alex Oliver. See my bio on the Poppermost website here (at the bottom of the page).
I personally like pop, rock, new age, folk (including bluegrass, world, and slack key), smooth jazz, some country, and classical music. Pretty much anything I haven't heard before, which means that I don't listen to much commercial radio (except KPFA in Berkeley CA or KCRW in LA), and I don't buy too many CDs for that same reason either.
