About Me

Hola! I'm a California native artist born in a northern Los Angeles community called Pacoima (named for "rushing water" by the Gabrielino Indians of the area), although I was raised and have spent most of my life in a city just a bit further north named Santa Clarita.

I make ceramic art...especially heart-themed pieces, tiles, and quirky mosaics. Working with clay is my way of expressing passions and relaying the positive energies that guide my impulses.

Although I feel uninhibitedly compelled to create, it obvious I'm no Picasso; my art is very simple...perhaps even rudimentary at best...but it's deeply heartfelt, created with the essence of my being, and I am - without a doubt - truly thankful that my time can be spent creating and sharing it with others. I hope you find something about each creation which touches your heart. ♥

My Interests

Ceramics and pottery, drawing/illustrating, painting, textile and needle arts, enameling, cooking, gardening (especially roses and garlic), genealogy, and swimming.

Books:

There are a few that catch my interest, but I'm a very impatient simpleton: most of my reading revolves around reference books, cookbooks, and magazines: things that are quick and simple, have lots of pretty pictures, and cut to the chase!
Foods Chocolate, pasta, breads, garlic, cake, chocolate, cake, chocolate cake...(did I mention chocolate cake?). Oh, yeah, and gumdrops.
Flowers Roses; they're so easy to grow, delicate yet resilient, and keep coming back to share more beauty every year

She’s a man, baby, she’s a MAN!

I grew my hair out and left it that way because my husband loves long hair - and hey, I'll admit, it looks very lovely on people who have the time to obsessively keep up with it; yet I don't. It tangl...
