I have a great many interests,the foremost being the compassionate treatment of animals.I am a proud member of P.E.T.A,The Humane Society,Defenders of Wildlife and other organizations,where I am an activist,trying to help better the lives of those who can..t speak for themselves.I am also a vegan who loves to cook but I also love to go out to different vegetarian and vegan restaurants,trying out what they have and let..s face it;it..s definately nice to be waited on;)! I also like to hang out with friends and people watch over a nice cup of jasmine(if I can get it!)tea, green tea,or coffee(with vanilla soymilk,of course;-) I also write poetry,of which I have many posted on my blog."Forget Me Not","Journey For the Unicorn",and "Thoughts" are probably the ones I am most happy with.I hope to complete a book this spring.I like going to open mics to recite and to listen to what other people have to say.I find people interesting and love to learn from others,and also to teach what I have learned throughout my lifetime... Another passion of mine is yoga,especially astanga yoga.I go to at least 3 or 4 classes a week,and sometimes I..ll bring my mat out to some nice park,and practice there. I like to keep myself in shape,mountain biking especially!I enjoy reading and all different forms of art. I love to travel and explore...forests,mountains,the beach,a new city...but I believe the greatest place to seek out is within the mind.I believe that a person needs to be able to honestly love their self before they can love another. I consider myself a healer;whether it..s practicing the massage therapy I love(I graduated from the Penn. Institute of M. T. in 2004),making crystal/stone necklaces(I have a rather large collection!) for people,just listening to a friend(maybe a stranger too;).I..ve also read many books on different forms of healing and I practice some of these. I listen to music of all kinds...it just depends on what I..m in the mood for.I have somewhat of an eclectic taste in music.Not too big into country or rap though,although some rap I can appreciate for its poetic structure. All in all I consider myself a fun,caring,healthy,compassionate and passionate person who tries to enjoy every moment of every single day...and to try to help other people do the same***Myspace Layouts
