About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)Relationship-oriented, hope-filled, joyful, loving, peaceful, persevering person with an eye on the big picture of how God is working in the world. Through God's healing in my life I point others in that direction through individual and couples counseling, single adult events, Bible study, divorce recovery, marriage enrichment, premarital education and grief support. Four of our children have attended Tates Creek High School. One is a graduate of Lexington Community College and the University of Virginia, clinical pastoral education at the V.A. hospitals, attending Louisville Presbyterian Seminary following a six week road trip across North America (see dstilled.com). One is an alum of Mission Year in Atlanta and now cares for an individual with a debilitating disease. One works for the largest coffee house in the state and has moved near the campus of Bluegrass Community and Technical College where she has begun her college career. One runs track at Creek where he is a junior, has a little coffee house experience himself, and has just started a job at a pizza and games place. All of us are welcomed enthusiastically every time we walk in the door by a handsome German shepherd/husky (Oscar) and a beautiful Siberian husky (Kita). My wife, after experiencing God's healing in her life, and then worked at a law firm in the benefits department, has dedicated the last six months of her life to stay home and take care of my sick dad. Our lives flow often around the community known as Immanuel. Since we've experienced the healing of God in many ways, we want to share the light of hope with others. The Jesus of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John is the focus of my faith. I want that Jesus to guide everything I do and enlighten all the people I touch. The Paul who advocated a radical life of grace and Spirit, free from the Law, informs my approach to life and ministry. I want to consume and live every moment of my life mindfully for my own sake as well as for the well being of others. Life is a journey. Travel light. Trust the One who calls you.
Here's the Channel 18 interview I had with Lee Cruise on 1/14/08:
