I'm a drummer that lives in the hills of Boulder County, Colorado. For the last six years I've been on the road a lot with my Phish tribute band Phix . Phix is kind of hard to explain to some people, especially those not familiar with Phish. It's basically rock and roll at its best and it changes every night, and we had a great time "interpreting" it with Phish fans all across the country.
With Phix in a state of semi-retirement, I'm working on a few new things and am always open to new opportunities. I have recently jumped aboard the Great American Taxi - a fantastic band that features Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon fame, and a bunch of other great players. I'll start with them around Halloween of 2008 and we have lots of recording and touring plans for the near future. I have another original band called The Higher Good with guys from many of my old bands, including Phix, Running With Sally and Purple Buddha. In addition I play in a couple other "tribute" bands and do a lot of one-offs with random musicians. That keeps me pretty busy
I like working on my place in the mountains and playing with my many musical projects. I try to ski as much as possible and go to other shows that come through Colorado, which are many. Occasionally I'll squeeze in some leisure travel. I've done Jamcruise a couple times - good fun, or a trip back to Ohio to see the family.
I have a lot of interest in renewable energy and quantum physics and am doing a lot of research on that kind of stuff these days as well.
