I have been playing bass for about 18 years now. I have played in numerous bands and some of my current and past projects are my top 12 friends. I am a freelance bassist for hire. I teach private bass lessons in Colorado, and play live gigs as often as I can. I toured with the band Phix for just over 4 years until we recently decided call it quits (but we still do an occasional show here and there for fun). I am currently playing bass for Magnolia Row, The Ethereal Plane, Brian Adams and the Lunchbox All-Stars, occasionally a gig here in there with The Bill McKay Band, as well as a few other bands that I occasionally play bass for. Reunion shows of old bands of mine seem to be the big craze back in Missouri these days for me too. Oh yeah, and I take over as bassist of Great American Taxi on Aug 4, 2009. The name "Lurch Mudpuddle" was coined by my bandmates in the Los Bastardos as a stage persona. The music I put on here is just some solo recordings I not so recently made, a newly arranged version of a tune called "The Snakecharmer" I wrote (recorded at the Boulder Theater 4/4/08), and "Swamp Song" that was performed in 2001 by Barefoot Revolution (one of my old bands) Hope you like the music!
