My Interests

Oh man, where to begin? I'm a jack-of-all-trades in the interest category. I'm really good at always coming up with new projects... not so good at always finishing them. I love books, I love music, I love movies, I love travel, I love knitting, I love making things, I love taking things apart, I love cooking, I love lots of stuff.

Music:

I am an audiophile; there isn't much I won't listen to or at least give a chance. My tastes can be somewhat ecclectic or obscure, but I'm no indie rock snob or anything. :) Recently I've been listening to the Shins, which is a band you either love or hate. I also adore Nina Simone, she is so soulful and wonderful. Growing up, I was spoonfed everything from Elvis Presley to Led Zeppelin, to The Beatles, to the Rolling Stones, to Chuck Berry, to the Supremes, to James Brown, to Bob Marley, to Frank Zappa, etc etc etc. and some things never change. Hit me with your suggestions. I'm up for everything. And of course, who doesn't love Madonna??

Movies:

I have to admit, I love movies, in fact prefer them to television. I am a complete DVD addict, most times not for the movie itself but for the features! I like most genres, but I especially love Tarantino movies and mysteries. I also love cheesy B movies and horror films.

Television:

Television? What's that?

Books:

I am a complete bibliophile. Throw it in front of me and I'll give it a chance. I love the written word and consume books like candy. The easiest way to please me is with alliterative wit and a good book list.

Heroes:

Single parents. They deserve all the credit in the world. I also have a soft spot for firefighters.
