Miami Film Machine

I was born 1979 in Miami, FL. At an early age, I knew I wanted to be a screenwriter. The four films that made me want to be a professional screenwriter, as crazy as this sounds, were Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Gremlins, The Color Purple and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors (crazy, right). While writing has been a passion since the age of seven, I didn't write my first play of any kind until age 13, with a soap serial called The Willing and The Able. While that didn't pan out because of nonparticipation of my friends back in 8th grade class, I would soon after write a screenplay called Deadly Friend, which has undergone major rewrites since 1993.I partnered with my crazy ass friend who's like a sister to me and together, we have written 16 screenplays, with several more in development. In 2002, I worked on the feature film, A MIAMI TAIL, starring Trina, yall know her, the Diamond Princess from the M.I.A., as script supervisor and production assistant.In 2001, I began writing song lyrics. To date, I've written over 450 r&b, soul, pop and gospel lyrics. I recorded a demo with a local music producer but in the end things didn't work out. A tragedy had befallen him and he decided to give up on music.That didn't stop me and I'n determined to be a successful screenwriter, songwriter and producer.
