About Me

The one & only Rev. Keith A. Gordon is the Reverend of Rock & Roll, the Pastor of Punk, the Monk of Metal and the Brother of the Blues. A music journalist with 35+ years walking the pop culture beat, Reverend.K has seen and heard it all and written about most of it!

The Reverend began preaching his sermon of rock & roll, cheap thrills and DIY culture from a shotgun sharecropper's shack located in a rural area outside of Nashville, Tennessee during the late-80s. These days, his metal ministry of punk rock salvation is based in the quaint village of Batavia, New York, located somewhere between Buffalo and Rochester.

As a music journalist, rock critic and freelance writer, the Reverend has had his words appear in over 100 regional, national and international publications, including Harp Magazine, Creem, the East Village Other, High Times, Singapore's Big O Magazine and Jersey Beat. For seven years circa 1999-2006, the Reverend.K edited and published the ALT.CULTURE.GUIDE,, music webzine and book series, and he is the author of ROCK TALK, a collection of exclusive artist interviews taken from his files. Currently the Rev preaches of the sins of the music industry on his Ryan Adams Sucks blog and is working on a project about Nashville's rock underground circa 1976-2006 called The Other Side Of Nashville .

Happily and joyfully married since 1989, the Reverend and his wife share their antique colonial-styled home with seven cats (Image, Fluffy, Fate, Puck, Ozzie, Felix & Zak Wilder) and two dogs (Mugsy & Maggie), who all happen to love the Ramones. (R.I.P. Pumpkin the mighty hunter, 1989-2007)
