My name is Stephen Trohoske, I'm a 36yr. old Jazz Bassist living in Erie, P.A. I've been playing professionally for about 19yrs. In that time I've had the pleasure to perform with many national & international acts as well as many of my local friends & musicians. I been leading a jazz trio called 3bop for the last 10yrs.in between tons of other projects, besides myself on Bass the band also consists of Frank Singer on Guitar with whom i studied Bass & Music theory, and Brad Amidon an extreamly accomplished Drummer.I also had the great oppertunity to do a very succsessful project"SoulClap" a few years back with 3 of Eries top musicians, Scotty Cravener,Preach Freedom & G.G. I Learned So much from these great players. I really feel i play with the most versatile & talented players in town. I also had the pleasure of playing&studying with Bass guru Dwayne Dolphin with whom i learned A great deal about my instrument & the buisness.Locally besides 3bop, some of the other projects i've done include: Red Hot Rugcutters, Monster on a Leash, LED PoP Exchange, The Gem City All Stars,Torn Curtain, Midnight Love (Marvin Gaye tribute band), Is What It Is, The Hideous Primates & The Raven Band just to name a few. Some of the great local talent i've had the honor to work with include: Frank Singer, Brad Amidon,Preach Freedom, Scotty Cravener,Mary Alice Brown,Trevor Husted,Ron Sutton,Basil Ronzitti,Joel Poloci,Katie Chriest, Sheldon Peterson,Allen Zurcher,Rick Cass,Charles Ventrello,Randy Hethrington,Eric Brewer,Mike Ohm,Doug Dressler Big band & Dan Halett, just to name a few.Nationally & Internatinally: Eddie Baccus Jr.,Dwayne Dolphin,Chris Howes,Domonick Farnaci,Carmen Ittore,Clair Daly,Uhmar Raheem,Dave Shiavone,Cecil Ruckers,Tony Poluzzi,Pat Martino,Cheryl Hodge,Blood,Rodger Humphries,Tony Cambell,Lou Stellute,Teddy Pentrelas,Bruce Johnstone , John Bacon Jr.& Chris Hemmingway. Toured with the Foley Project. I have opened for acts such as GarajMahal,Either Orchestra,ect. I have played concerts &clinics in North America, Canada & parts of Central America.I am currently in school studying Massge therapy, and certain aspects of shiatsu & reflexology, I graduate in November 2008. I have the most wonderful, beautiful wife, a 5yr. old stepson & my first daughter on the way in September.
