Dreamhunter is an italian band which plays what her members most like: Hard'n'Heavy! The band rose in 2002 from Brescia and it was made up with a classic heavy metal line up (voice - Michele Gusmeri, two guitars - Emanuele Bresciani & Andrea Gusmeri, bass - Andrea Verginella, drums - Marco Bottazzi).
Playing together for years, the heterogeneous background of the musicians has created a personal sound, with roots in the '70s/'80s but fresh and present. To have an idea of the kind of music Dreamhunter propose, you can imagine an ideal mixture of Rainbow, Dio, Iron Maiden, Whitesnake, which are also the bands Dreamhunter usually cover during their shows. After about three years of life, Dreamhunter reach a deal with My Graveyard Productions and in September 2006 the band publishes her first full-length "The Hunt Is On".
At the end of the promotional tour, in September 2007 the drummer Marco Bottazzi leaves the band because of different musical views. As new drummer Dreamhunter choose Federico Loda and with the new line up the band is working on the songs for the second album.
I Dreamhunter nascono a Brescia dalle ceneri di un gruppo rock cover anni '70, tra le cui fila militavano Andrea Gusmeri (chitarra), Andrea Verginella (basso) e Michele Gusmeri (voce). Abbandonato il primo progetto, i tre decidono di costruire una nuova band, nella quale dedicarsi soprattutto alla stesura di pezzi propri. Vengono così reclutati due nuovi componenti: il batterista Marco Bottazzi e il chitarrista Emanuele Bresciani.
I Dreamhunter prendono vita ufficialmente nel 2002 coinvolgendo musicisti dalle diverse influenze musicali nella classica formazione a cinque.
Suonando insieme per anni l'eterogeneo background musicale della band ha dato vita ad una sonorità personale, con radici negli anni '70/'80 ma fresca ed attuale. I pezzi proposti chiamano in causa bands quali Rainbow, Dio, Whitesnake, Iron Maiden: un hard 'n' heavy grintoso e al contempo raffinato e ricercato.
Dopo tre anni di attività , nel 2005, i Dreamhunter entrano in contatto con Giuliano della My Graveyard Productions e nell'estate 2006 il gruppo completa la registrazione del debut album "The Hunt Is On" (pubblicato l'8 settembre 2006), curandone personalmente la produzione artistica.
Al termine di una serie di concerti per promuovere il disco insieme ai compagni di etichetta Dogs'n'Bones (il famigerato Dogs & Hunter Tour), nel Settembre 2007 il batterista Marco Bottazzi decide di uscire dalla band a causa di divergenze musicali. Al suo posto entra nel gruppo Federico Loda: con la nuova line-up i Dreamhunter si stanno dedicando alla stesura dei brani che andranno a comporre il successore di "The Hunt Is On".
