About Me

I get along with pretty much everyone. I attribute it to the fact that I would much rather listen to you say the things that are on your mind or learn something from you rather than try to make small talk about the weather or other "little intricate delicacies". I will rarely ever talk more than you.At the moment, I am attempting to plan a future for myself that does not concern spending an two hours per day in traffic and sitting at a desk staring at a computer screen for another 8.5 hours. Changes will be made around here. Soon.My best friend Anna-Lynne is pretty much the coolest best friend a girl could ever hope to have. She is the kind of person who will try just about anything even if it's repulsive or embarassing or tastes gross. She writes lovely songs and sings more beautifully than anyone else could ever hope to. She is the sort of person you can embrace your own innate silliness with.I have a secret admirer named Sean (or Shaun or Shawn). He seems nice, from what I've heard about him. I really like: to hear a new tune every once-in-a-while, Perrier, singing in my car, running 5Ks, getting things done, laughing/laughter, being able to give little bits of helpful advice here and there.I don't like: boredom, yelling, the statement "it's a free country; I can do whatever I want", the boss on the original British version of The Office, when my $60 refridgerator randomly decides to freeze all of it's contents.

My Interests

Matcha tea, bowling pathetically, discovering the remarkable allowances for ambiguity in the Japanese language, Wikipedia, Rain Sushi in Wallingford, mucking about, trying to be cheap (with money). Also, I have a minor obsession with Google Maps; it allows me to explore most places in the world for free without the hassle of language barriers, exchange rates or anti-whatever attitudes... and all this from the first class comfort of my plush swivel-y office chair.

I'd like to meet:

Kind-hearted folks, other people who embrace silliness, geek speakers, nice rock stars, people with long fuses. Julie Andrews.

catchy

I have often wondered what makes a song the sort of song that you set on repeat and you don't even notice if it plays 20 times; you are just happy to being hearing the sound of it for a whole hour. We...

another blog about people

Today I had an insight on the so-called generation gap.  To get this out of the way before I get started, the words "generation gap" are a generalization.  Naturally, there are (and will alw...
