About Me

Craig Lincoln picked up the guitar at age 13, and didn’t put it down until he had mastered the chords to Greensleeves, and the theme from Have Gun Will Travel. The results were very sore fingers, a dime-sized blister on his right thumb, and a passion to do it again as soon and as often as possible. But the sport of springboard diving also captured his attention, and he was forced to choose between his high school diving team and “The Perspectives” a young, but critically acclaimed Minneapolis rhythm & blues band. "Linc" opted for the pool – a choice which proved correct when, a scant 5 years later, he won an Olympic Medal in his sport. He never quit playing his guitar, however, enabling him to lay claim for several years to the informal title of “World’s Greatest Springboard-Diver/Fingerpicker.” Along his musical journey he dreamed of being Andres Segovia, Chet Atkins, The Kingston Trio, Peter, Paul & Mary, Paul Simon, Leo Kottke, Jorma Kaukonen, and Pete Townshend, but has finally settled for just being Craig Lincoln.
