Chris Trimpe is 37 years old, married to his high school sweetheart, and has two daughters. He was born in Grosse Ille, Michigan. At the age of six, his parents divorced and he moved to Detoit with his mother, Janice Trimpe who was pursuing her art career. Growing up as the son of an artist, Chris was always influenced by many different aspects of art. He began to express himself through drawing and sculpting while spending time at CCS with his mother.At the age of twelve, he started playing guitar. At that time, his influences were rock based guitar players, such as Hendrix and Jimmy Page. In later teen years, his influences included Al Demeola, Les Paul, and John McLaughlin.Chris performed with his first band at the age of 15 and during his 20's and early 30's, performed with many different types of bands including rock, funk, blues, and metal. In recent years he studied jazz with Patrick Doran and currently Eric Watson. His current influences include John Scoffield, George Benson, and Joe Pass.
