Over the last decade, the music scene in Miami has
evolved with the ever changing face of rock music.
During this time, many local bands have struggled to
survive with most meeting a sad and unfortunate
demise. Yet one musical group has managed not only to
endure, but it has flourished unto the local music
scene as a noteworthy representative of the
contemporary sound of Miami. AlucarD was founded in
1998 (yes 1998) on the premises that a genuine, fresh
and unique sound portraying the everyday struggle of
youth in Miami was not only necessary, but long
overdue. Notwithstanding, the original members of
AlucarD came together 8 years ago, fusing rock and hip-
hop (to this point unheard of) within a Latin
Community whose music was based on salsa, merengue and
traditional Gangster Rap. But many struggling years
would pass before the core members of AlucarD were to
fine-tune and polish
this fresh style and evolve
into the present day band
which you now hear and
enjoy. Roly is now their manager.

With its members originating from different
areas of Dade County (Westchester, Hialeah, Kendall,
Little Havana, Downtown) GATOE XANGO is the
quintessential MIAMI hard R&B stoner street rock band!
Brutally honest lyrics and a back to basics live
formula makes this melodious combo one of those rare
anomalies were a throwback is actually a revolution in
the shadows waiting to pave the way for artists with
the integrity to represent our times...

Crackwhore Sweethearts
Crackwhore Sweethearts originated sometime in december 2007... It’s a no stress band full of long time friends just looking for a good drunken time. The band name was created by our guitarist bearwhore sweetheart right before some random open mic performance lol. Our recording that we have up for now was done in the rawest way possible with booze, pot, porn, and a laptop for sound. This is a druken-get on your feet-lock up your moms-smoke your ass off-rock-n-fuckin-roll-band! All ages and all genres welcome! Just come to one of our shows and you’re guarrant-fuckin-teed a good time! OH YEAA

2@m is a rising alternative hiphop group(featuring live instrumentation) with the look of an underground garage band but with lyrics comparable to some of hiphop’s brightest.....with an upbeat sound, 2@m still manages to keep a conscious undertone ranging from political issues to comical songs to relationship issues to songs that just make you wanna move.... in short, 2@m is really just a bunch of guys that are All About Music!

E-Grizzly
E. Grizzly won the 2006 Independent Rap Artist of the Year at the 16th annual L.A. Music Awards. E. Grizzly’s album Hip hop is dead! was nominated for Best Breakthrough Album of the year for an independent artist at the 16th Annual L.A. Music Awards. E. Grizzly was hand picked by MTV2 to write a song about Martin Luther King Jr for a special MLK tribute in January, 2007. He was invited to MTV2 studios, recorded his verse about MLK and MTV liked it so much they aired his MLK tribute through January and all through Febuary for Black History Month. They still randomly play Grizzly’s MLK tribute and it can be seen at http://www.mtv2.com/series/20077. E. Grizzly is the founder of A-HA!
The Cornerstoners
The Cornerstoners are a group of artist that originated from the late but great venue called the Cornerstone in the spring of 2007. The original members of the Cornerstoners are E. Grizzly, Michelangelo, Lydian, and Victor. These four members started to experiment with hip hop, poetry, jazz, folk, and latin percussion every Wednesday at The Cornerstone open mic. They were getting such great feedback from this experimental sound that they decided to pursue the project even further which was about the time Matt Bodi joined the group playing conga.
