.."_blank" Brendan OHara makes music thats meant to move the masses. Whether its out of their seats and on to the dance floor or into the streets to stand up for things worth fighting for, Movement is, and will always be, what its all about. A versatile singer/songwriter, Brendan beat boxes, plays the piano, guitar, harmonica, percussion, and even mimics a pretty good trumpet while delivering cleverly calculated lyrics and simple honest hymns. His vocal approach is soulful yet straightforward and at times spoken with spitfire articulation. Borrowing from many genres- jazz, blues, folk-rock, and hip-hop, Brendan has amalgamated a style all his own, original yet familiar. Brendan performs regularly along the eastern seaboard- comfortable on stage as an ingratiating storyteller, or a brash badass bandleader. When backed by The Humble Ones, Brendan OHaras band is a power trio with big sound. With a repertoire of well over three hours of original music, the humble ones work often as a house band that is anything but. With only one cover that spontaneously gets modified to the mood of the room, Brendan OHara and the Humble Ones treat their audience to a wide variety of styles while remaining an act all their own. When solo, the show becomes a blend of humor, political observation, and self reflection that creates a back drop for many very honest moments. Moments that move people: either out of their seats, into their souls, or onto the streets.for more, check out the website, www.brendanohara.org and keep it peaceful with a purpose.

Band Members: Brendan's got the Humble Ones, and the Humble Ones come correct. When in Miami- Jon W. on Drums, Billy b. Bowin on Bass, and a whole slew of guest artists ranging from Alison Irvin on Violin to Kamikazee doing vocal sampling. While the Humble One's are Solid like a rock- they are not exclusive, Brendan is constantly searching for like minded motivated musicians to share the stage with...Currently, while touring, you'll find Brendan on stage alone with a piano and a guitar nearby... He credits his musical development and constant growth to too many to name but check out his top friends, that's a good place to start. Many thanks go out to all those who have contributed to making this music, and the many many more to come.
Influences: Brendan's grandfather, a boogie woogie pianist, and inventor of the Highway Jug-Handle, is by far the most inspirational. Followed by Jeffery Strutz, in it for the love of song. Caite O'Hara, Brendan's older sister is credited for a million and one mix tapes. Billy Joel, James Taylor, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Das-FX, The Beastie Boys, Tribe Called Quest have also influenced this vibe.
