Nyika is a singer songwriter who’s debut album ’The First Sensation’ gained critical acclaim from both Mica Paris and Tony Blackburn on both of their Soul shows on BBC Radio,which has placed her firmly on the map of the British Soul music genre.
Nyika has had a fantastic array of amazing musicians working on her recordings and live shows including Zoe Rahman(Mercury Prize Winner),Jessica Lauren,Hugh Burns(Wham,Gerry Rafferty,George Michael),Roy Dodds(Fairground Attraction,Eddie Reider) and Mark Vandergucht(Push,Galliano,Marlena Shaw and Candy Staton).
The debut album was also mixed and co produced by Nick Sykes who has worked with Shirley Bassey,Joan Armatrading,Elkie Brooks,Dusty Springfield,The Rah Band and Go West among many others.Nyika is currently recording a second album and has a single with dance mixes due out in the summer.
