Sista M is a funny French girl from Paris, immigrated in London in 2007.
She’s a composer, writer, singer, sound designer, producer, radio DJ & DJ (Yes, all that,and she also does the washing up!!!)
Most of the time, Sista M loves to stay home (especially during winter because she dreads the cold and has to hibernate in a warm studio) but sometimes, she has to leave her home studio because she’s got many friends ans she is also a D.J...
During her hibernation, Sista M has written, composed, performed & produced an album, " A KIND OF MUSIC", featured several times on BBC by Brinsley Forde in « Lively up yourself »
She performs everything on her first album: Bass, guitars, vocals, programmings...
Sista M plays a blend of dub, folk, electro and soul, just «A kind of music» as the title of her album says... Impossible to categorize... Is that good or bad? Listen & Check it out!

Sista M has also composed sound design music for TV documentaries (So What Productions/ ARTE), Web sites, artists...& has also written lyrics for French artists (Jena Lee...)Since she is in London, Sista M has worked with Preetesh/Mattafix, Matthew Phillip, Cydney, Nyika, Apple Rabbits, Da Vinci sound System, and is an I-fficially member of Da Vinci Sound system since 2008...

Auteur-compositeur-interprète, Sista M est une fille qui chante, programme, joue de la basse, de la guitare, et du Macintosh. Elle produit ses morceaux toute seule comme une grande et adore rester enfermée au chaud dans son home studio, surtout en hiver... Parfois, quand meme, elle est obligée de sortir car elle a beaucoup d’amis et en plus, elle est aussi D.J:
London, resident @ Dogstar, Brixton, I-2-U gallery, London W10, Westway.tv, London W10...- Paris/ Emergence Crew-Ozore Age Records, Parisjuana Crew...A la croisée de la soul et du dub, Sista M mele ses influences dans un tout difficilement étiquetable, "A kind of music" , un mélange de programmations chaloupees, bass lines laid back, melodies pop et flow syncopé, le tout mixé à la sauce dub.Reperée sur la B.B.C, par Brinsley Forde, qui la diffuse plusieurs fois dans son émission "Lively up yourself", aux cotés des plus grands, elle fait aussi craquer Christophe Miossec en France et fait sa 1ère partie à la Cigale.Sista M travaille egalement en tant que sound designer pour la television, les sites web etc...
Sista M est installee a Londres- Brixton depuis mai 2007 & a, depuis, travaillé avec Preetesh/Mattafix, Matthew Phillip, Nyika, Apple Rabbits, Da Vinci sound System et est devenue I-fficially Membre de Da Vinci Sound System depuis 2008.... Mind the noise!!!
