Wahoo Skiffle Crazies

Crazy Words, Crazy Tune!

About Me

As heard on "The Opie & Anthony Show"...
The Wahoo Skiffle Crazies hail from Staten Island, where the hills of the eastern seaboards highest elevation meet the swamps of New York States southernmost tip. Known well as The Islands Premier Jug Band , they are, in fact, the Islands only jug band.
Whether playing on the beach beneath the Verrazano Bridge, or on stage in a cafe or one of Manhattans bars, these eight zany musicians offer audiences something completely different. Remorseless fun and entertainment, and perhaps a sense of "naggingly dark" shock are the rule.
The groups founding four members have been playing together with homemade instruments for over two years. Since the spring of 2004 audiences, both young and not so young, have treasured their unique sound, their wild energy, and repertoire spanning the centuries from ragtime, blues, traditional folk, and Sixties rock to near anything in the Jug band canon, as well as numerous originals.
