Ad-lib

Ad-lib fuse jazz with hip-hop, drum n bass, and reggae/ragga styles featuring vocals and MC's creating a fresh sound. Our music is a mixture of funked up jazz standards, freestyle improvisations and original compositions.The band aims to popularise jazz, introducing it to a wider audience with innovation, blending jazz with other genres. Jazz brings fluidity, spontaneity and technical merit into other styles of music. The addition of vocals and MC's add colour and lyrical appeal, giving the band a voice. Adlib is now in its second year and is an ambitious project, with many ideas for the future. The above tracks were laid down in June 2006 with our old line-up, we're currently working on a new demo. We all love music and believe in the power of music. We're all about creating something original, soulful and funky then bringing it to the people, enjoy!
