Alphabetix is a Leeds based crew comprising 3 MCs -ABD, Angel S & MrRis and DJ Sir+.Alphabetix have been playing out sets nationally for the past 5 years, and have supported Foreign Beggars, Jack Flash, Skinnyman, Task Force, Chemo, IRS & Kashmere amongst others.Regulars on the Leeds scene Alphabetix are also part of a larger collective called Northern Hostility running 27 members strong.With a mixture of up-tempo punchy beats and concise technical rap styles, Alphabetix are amongst the North of England’s most supreme up and coming Hip Hop. They have featured on tracks alongside IRS(London), Jack Flash(Huddersfield), Toastie Tailor(NewFlesh), High Pressure Sound System(Leeds), Boomstick(Glasgow) and a number of other collaborations nationwide.MC ABD is the recent winner of the 2009 Golden Mic Challenge in Leeds, collecting a Mr Thing beat for Alphabetix next release as part of his prize.The first official Alphabetix release, an 9 track EP called ‘Alphabetix Anonymous’ featuring production from a number of guest producers including Fenna Rhodes(True Ingredients), Mike D (Subterrania Studios), Slack B (DS Fam) and J Bravo (Invisible Circle) is about to be released on 30 Tonne Slug Records.
