When I'm not working at my fulltime corporate gig, I'm out on my motorcycle or in the studio making music. I have dreams of eventually getting away from the world of the 9 to 5 and become an accomplished artist making all sorts of music, media and art.
When I do go out I like to have a good time (read as:prone to get crazy/hyper/fun while drinking). Be it, at a club listening/dancing to Techno, or a bar laughing it up with some of my more martini influenced friends.
I'm not totally manic! Life is all about relaxing and enjoying it all. Diners with friends, quiet time alone. Just breathing in the magic of what we have here and feeling how it flows. I have few friends I've kept close over the years, but still talk to everyone I know.
My heartbeat through all of the good and bad times has been art. Be it making music, taking pictures... or even just getting out in the world and recording experiences I've had or had the pleasure of being a part of. As a result I have all sorts of stuff online, Music, Art, and my Blog.
I just did an online fanzine. Assembler Techno Fanzine. It has articles I've written about techno music. A really neat project it was fun to put together and share out. Download it and give it a read .
Back when I was more inlove with the internet I started my online blog (Lx7.ca) . but now I keep writing in it outta habbit. It's me, its very wordy and probably not interesting to 99.9% of the world population. But I like it.....
In sharing my appreciation of our music and scene, i have something for you. A 7 track project called the Lx7 Promo Release, and you can download it for free from the Lx7 site . It's mimimal techno / techhouse. It's my first solo album of music written from 1997 to 2007. Best of all I composed them either on a QY-700 or a MPC-4000 (depending on how old they are) and recorded into Nuendo, or straight to DAT. ... maybe it's a nice change of pace...
You can hear/download it at: http://lx7.ca/promo-release
or
download the full zip archive (49+ mb.)
When I started this whole adventure I had no idea where it would go. A year later the best songs from the podcast are now together on an album... So it gives me great pleasure to share the results.
..everybody has a story...
Not only is this album a collection of music that I whole heartedly believe in. On the show I talk about the future of music, and the end of record labels as we know it; this is what I believe the future of the music industry is going to be. You've listened to the podcasts and learn the stories behind them, now you can own the songs.
You can purchase it at stores like: iTunes , HMV digital , Yahoo & eMusic
