Chad Bonanno was born and raised in the bayous of Louisiana, but always felt that he was destined for the fast pace of a big city and ached to express his creativity. Designer, animator, director, painter, photographer, sketch artist, remixer, and drummer, he is an artist of many mediums.
In 2001, he packed up and moved to Orlando, then one of the major global hot spots for the burgeoning genre of house music. Pursuing a degree in design and animation (his first love) Full Sail not only provided him a wonderful education, but introduced him to audio editors, producers, and most importantly, his mentor, Joe C. The infamous Simon’s Club resident , and Chads passion was in full swing, and he quickly fell in love with house music.
Unable to stay away, Chad and his classmate and production partner James Ellis created countless hours of visual content for clubs and parties, mixing them live on huge screens. The music that he heard over those two years in the clubs of Orlando was unlike any he had ever experienced. Fascinated with the sheer power to influence the emotions of party-goers with his mixing, he longed to take it to another level. Chad graduated Full Sail with honors and awards in 2003, with a Associates degree in Design, but focusing on animation and design at the same time, became a specialist quickly in meshing the two.
Accepting a job in Atlanta seemed like the obvious next step, and he relished the opportunity. Chad quickly fell into entertaining high end clientèle such as J Walter Thompson, BBDO, Ford, UPS, Travel Channel, WestWayne, Discovery Channel and Coke, as well as other various advertising agencies in Atlanta. Providing complete design and aniamtion support in a post house facility, with a design stuido.
Ever the workaholic, he began his career animating and designing for broadcast television and quickly became indispensable to his company. In a years time, Chad picked up 7 gold awards for various broadcast projects, including 6 Gold ADDY Awards and 1 Gold BDA award. He learned to mix in the wee hours of the morning, broadcasting from his home studio via his personal radio station, getting tips and pointers from top djs all over the world. Like most fledgling djs at that time, he recorded studio mixes that were passed around the internet by word of mouth.
The digital mixing platform known as Ableton took the electronic music world by storm in 2005, and Chad was quick to embrace the new technology. Now he prefers to mix in a live environment, layering many tracks at a time, remixing on the fly, and using effects to add his own personal flair to the grooves.
Feeling as though he had learned all he could in Atlanta, he headed west to Los Angeles in the summer of 2006. Living right under the Hollywood sign, Chad designed and animated portions of feature film main titles at The Picture Mill,which he worked on such projects as DreamGirls, The Covenant, Santa Clause 3, Astronaut Farmer, RISE: Blood Hunter and More.
Chad has now entered the freelance market, entertaining new and old clients.

And his need to express himself with music has not waned.
His current projects include a Live PA group using a series of samplers, workstations and synths to run Live electronic music in his duo 8 Minute Kate.

ABOUT ME Personally. . . Culture-Creative, Intresting personality,motivated,driven Designer and Animator for feature film titles, ROCKED Atlanta's Motion Graphics and Animation scene for 2 years 04-06 and now getting into film titles and soon after, Visual Effects for Commercials and Film. I Love my friends, I love to laugh. I have created hours of visual content for live installations and am still intrested in live visual presentation for clubs and museums. I like to use Ableton Live to remix and mix progressive house / progressive breaks together. Also experiments with my Electric dumset made by Roland. I have an entire music studio , but no time to use any of it. Don't bother trying to rob me. . . . I've got a rottweiler by my bed, and I feed him lead. Been into computers since i was 9 so i am well rounded in most areas of that stuff. a geek you could say. Love music, computers, intresting technical stuff, science, and forensics. Very fasicnated in anything technical! I love New York City. I LOVE Australlia but i've never been HAHA. Ive done 7 Tandem skydives and am considering jumping by myself. Getting the AFF cert.
