Outlandish Kin

GYPSY HIP HOP

About Me

Distant Origins

Outlandish Kin were discovered roaming the hills between Kilburn and Clearview. They claimed they were busking. But they were stealing hearts - and they will steal yours, too - while your feet aren't looking. Don't tap your feet, it's infectious. Don't take them home to mum, much as you would like to. They will eat all of your food. All of it.
Playing their own brand of gypsy hip hop acid jazz - Outlandish Kin will have you weak at the knees - but don't give in to them.
Here are six songs from the Kin's first album Distant Origins. Every track is a stand-out hit:
Diverted from Focus: hip hop strings that will melt your soul
Ghost Town Flyer : better not get too close - you might be related.
Life on the Road : it's tough out there. Living on the road. From one gig to the next. Sometimes in a straight line. Sometimes not.
Retreat to the Hills : sometimes there is just nowhere to go. Sometimes things just build to a climax . . . and then . . .
Standing on the Edge of the World : if you could find this place you would always want to go back. Shangrilla eternal.
Wild Frontiers : this is where the Kin come from. These are their roots. This is gypsy hip hop that will steal your heart away - while your feet aren't looking . . .
There are more tracks that you can listen to from Distant Origins at the Radio Curly homepage where you can also find tracks from Closer to Home which portrays an even tougher Outlandish Kin.
