Final Movement

About Me

Final Movement are outcasts. Cast out from the halls and RSL clubs of Kilburn and Northfield. Prohibited by committees to practise with their pals. Final Movement struck out on their own - steering a straight and narrow path towards their own unique, musical direction.
". . . We were seen as too highbrow. Too classical. We had to make compromises; and some of those compromises we just did not like. Drums and percussion were one thing - but we did not want them leading and driving the orchestra. Electric guitars were even brought in and we were told if we didn't like it we should wear ear plugs, and that we had to change with the times . . .
. . . We changed alright. We left that outfit and formed our own ensemble - welcome to the Final Movement. Sure, we have some drum and percussion and even some electronic sounds - but they are played seriously. We are not a rock and roll band."
Here are six tracks from Final Movement: the first three are from our debut cd, Artificial Life; the final three are from our forthcoming release, Second Movement. Your aural experience will be enhanced by turning the volume up as high as you can manage.
Fictional Soiree - Haunting cello and strings. A slow afternoon with the rain falling gently. Warm spaces inside - whilst a storm prepares to unleash in the far, far distance.
Supressed Reminder - Cheesy hammond organ and strings, hip hop style but supressed.
Winter Garden - Frozen moments out of the sun. Sparks of life emerge.

Midday Sun - Blazing heat, from early morning, steadily reaching a searing, golden heat. No escape from the relentless, midday sun.
Running the Wire - The chase is on. Will they catch up - or will they out run you? And then what?
Temporal Clauses - Time moves slowly in this space. MySpace is a time machine. You are passing time in a strange backwater.
