SIX TRACKS FROM SILICON STRINGS
from their Stringwall cd 2006
ReVivaldi - Driven by tuba, floated by viola and cello, punctuated by violin. Listen closely, as Silicon Strings breath new life into a Vivaldi classic. Superbly constructed, deconstructed and reconstructed.
Dreams that Last Forever - Frank Siddarta, who normally only plays trumpet, sings a subtle melody amongst the background of percussive drums, strings, brass and a fine trumpet solo, of course. Don't your dreams always last forever.
Dungle Concerto - Composed during a layover spent in the resort at Dungle. Relaxing, charmful, yet dark and brooding; just like my early morning cup of coffee. Dungle Concerto is balanced with tension and lightness.
ReBackt - Our keyboard section gets a good workout in this track. Classic Bach remix . . . if God were one of us he would listen to this.
Til we Meet Again - Quirky jazz, introducing our horn and string sections and some funky synthesizer work.
Losing my Heart - A slightly modernist, upbeat and whimsical piece. Don't go losing your heart . . . you might not get it back!
