Everything began in 1995, in a small town in the north interior of Portugal. There was a lack of information about gothic music and everything around this matter. At the same time, there were many fans of the genre from different points of the region, since Bragança, passing trough Macedo de Cavaleiros, Mirandela, Vila Real, etc. Dalila Branco, Jorge Sampaio e José Pedro Liberal united by the same musical tastes, decided to do something to bring all the information about new bands, releases, events, to their listeners, as disclosing lots of bands. This can be viewed as the beginning of Catedral de Lágrimas. The success was guaranteed one year later, thanks to the support of different persons connected somehow to the musical scene, since musicians to Dj's, gothic brotherhoods, distributors, and the most important ones: the listeners. In 1997, Jorge e José Pedro left the team. As Dalila had some troubles on organizing everything alone, she invited Susana Madureira, who became her radioshow partner. September, 1999 Dalila moved out to Porto, and it was becoming really hard to maintain the radioshow: it was live. The end was inevitable. It was on December 1999
Now, in 2005, Dalila decided to bring her great passion back to life. Her new partner is Leonel Silva, someone who shares the same passion for music, who has a great taste and knowledge. The perfect team for the new... Catedral de Lágrimas :)
