Anonymous tip leads Montreal police to missing Toronto girl

TORONTO - A five-year old Toronto girl, allegedly abducted by her parents on Nov. 29, 2007, has been found in Montreal, Toronto police announced on Monday.An anonymous tip lead to the discovery of Alana Livas, who was in "very good" health when Montreal police found her, according to Toronto police Det. Sgt. Rick Searle.The girl's parents - Vivian and Peter Livas - were arrested and face a number of charges including parental abduction and failing to appear in court.Alana Livas, 5, who was abducted by her parents in November, has been found in Montreal.

Font:****Alana was in the care of her aunt and uncle after police discovered a grow-op in her parents' Toronto home and suspected neglect issues last November.Vivian and Peter Livas were charged with drug possession and were out on bail when Alana was allegedly abducted.Alana suffers from rickets - a softening of the bones that can cause fractures and deformity, which can be treated with calcium and vitamin D supplements.The young girl had two months of medication left when she was abducted.Alana will be returned to the Children's Aid Society in Toronto.
