In DAKAR!!! Diggin west Africa... new beat soon

About Me

Jazz, soul, hip-hop, as well as gwo ka, bl, reggae, creole and African grooves... so many musical flowers that have nourished PAPILLON with their nectars to create his original music filled with color.
Born in Paris of an American mother and a West Indian father from Martinique, Papillon grew up surrounded by a musical rainbow that influences each and every one of his songs, traditional to modern, songs of the heart and the soul. His search for the sound that would stir his heart started early, when he bought his first guitar at age 12. As he grew up, he took a part in various groups, compilations, tours and shows... experiences that nurtured his multifaceted talents (DJ, MC, composer...) and built a unique world for his creations.
From a rich blend of influences, Papillon extracted his first solo album, "The Amber Dawn", released in 2006.
The talented musicians and singers who surround him form a group called "The Peanut Butter Flies". Together they sing in English, French, Wolof and Creole, soaring effortlessly between all musical genres with humor and agility.

PREMIER ALBUM SOLO DE PAPILLON:"THE AMBER DAWN" !
Watch the little children when they make up a dance (Regardez les enfants lorsquils inventent une danse).
