DJ Bashico started his career as a DJ while in university. His major was musicology, specializing in American experimental music. He has also given lectures on club music and has been trying to find the cross over point between contemporary underground music and experimental music, the basic spirit of his style. He has played various gigs as a DJ and used to be the manager of the turntablized bar Harukiya in Tokyo, supporting many local DJs.In 2005 and 2006, DJ Bashico did successful mini tours in the U.S, including playing on a radio show.
