im addicted to all things from the land of the rising sun.... .Musically Ive been working for record labels and running Japanese club nights since 1995.Phoney,Mukatsuku,Those Kids,Shinkansen,Retreat,Ookami Cuts,Bite Your Granny,Onward International are just some of the club nights I have been involved in running over the last 13 years.From the mid 90's onwards I worked for Island/Universal/Verve/Forth & Broadway and then for Universal Jazz .I started up my company Mukatsuku Pr in 2001 promoting nu jazz and associated music....Since 2006 I've been a buyer for Juno Records principly as a Japanese releases music buyer but i'm always looking out for funk 45s,disco edits,broken beats and house for the store aswell so if you have a label with a hot release then perhaps get in touch. nik.weston at juno.co.ukJuno.co.uk has the worlds largest DJ Mitsu the Beats ,DJ Muro and Especial Records section plus lots of Jazzy Sport related stuff so check it out.I have been looking after the promotion and distribution for the Osaka based Especial Record label since 2001.I'm a compiler of many a compilation which ive listed below....or you can find more info at discogs.com...under my name.i have written for several magazines and websites over the years ...including Undercover Magazine/Idj magazine in the uk and the now defunct Belgium magazine Plastiks- I even did the singles reviews for Straight No Chaser Magazine a few years ago. i usually write about whats happening in japan....releases...tours.....producers....if you have any info on this subject please share it with me.thanksDJ wise so far ive been lucky enough to spin alongside the likes of ...
