i like good people with good minds most of all. there is something positive to be learned from anything that happens in life, good or bad. i think that's a gift that is a shame not to take advantage of.
i'm not much for the electonic dance wicky-wacky music, it causes a rash in my head. but um....here are some styles of music i quite fancy (there are WAY too many bands to list):
ska, old reggae & rocksteady, rockabilly, 50's and early 60's rock n' roll and soul, 80's cheese, things involving accordians, psychobilly, rockabilly, punk, metal, old country, selected gothy stuff, classical (concertos for cello in particular), be-bop, wacky cabaret type music that defies categorization, big band croony things, selected bits of that modern angsty folky kind of stuff.
bloody, scary & spooky. movies that are old enough to be in black & white, or just barely in color. movies that make me laugh so hard i blow snot rockets. musicals rule. westerns, when the mood strikes.

I enjoy the books. All time favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird.
I'm also an Anne Rice junkie. Always have been, always will be.

My Mom, the incredible JoAnne Howle Neal.
She's the kindest, strongest, best person I've ever known.
And I miss her every day.
Other folks I admire:
Ann Calvello, Charles Addams, Cowboys, Farmers, Native Americans, Loretta Lynn, Vincent Price, Mae West, Harry Houdini, Bettie Page...and whoever was smart enough to take some hunks off a pig and turn it into bacon and BBQ. Every rollergirl who has the balls and dedication to be involved in such an AMAZING sport.
And my Dad, even though he's as ornery as a freshly branded longhorn at times. Which you know, I wouldn't know ANYthing about personally....nope.
