Kissing the Joy as it flies...

About Me

Ciara O'Driscoll from Cork republic started squawking early on in life, listenin to her mums old billie holiday records. Growin up there was violin lessons, piano But singing became a litle more serious after The Berries experience gave her legs to stand on in 2003 Then along came Sumu (www.myspace.com/sumuband) always challenging always innovative, collaborator and co-songwriter Niwel Tsumbu was the driving force. This group's 1st gig was supporting Malian diva Oumou Sangare from there they went on to play with Irish favourites Kila, Massive Attack collaborator Horace Andy, reggae legends The Wailers, Londons' Reel People and Cork heroes John Spillane and Ger Wolf. After a beautiful and sacred journey to the motherhood, Ciara finally made it back to bring her forthcoming project "A little Soul" a smooth blend of sweet soulful lifting crafted songs with a hint of jazzy tones. This recording was all home-based, thanks to an incredible team who gave up time and energy (although they were well-fed!) New sounds coming soon, watch myspace!Myspace Layouts
