About Me

Born in '88 and raised in Widnes, Cheshire, singer/songwriter/guitarist Natalie McCool debuted her remarkable musical talent on the Halton scene in 2003, performing stunning original material which you can hear on the player above.
With Damian Rice, Gomez, Liam Frost and Suzanne Vega amongst her biggest influences, Natalie's sound is a warmth of heavenly vocals and engrossing lyrics over a backdrop of masterful guitar playing: creating a 'beautiful and timeless' sound (Manilla PR).
In December '05, Natalie was granted an instant unconditional at LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) studying music, and continues to gig around the North West area.
Her musical journey started at the age of 7 when Natalie picked up a guitar: her passion for songwriting quickly followed, fuelled by her guitar accompaniment. At just 14 Natalie secured her first public performance at the Queens Hall in Widnes (one-time haunt of The Beatles) at under 18's band night 'Fused'.
After gigging around the Widnes area and adding to her extensive catalogue of original material (due to be showcased here soon), Natalie formed a trio at 16 (performing guitar/vox). Unlike the delicate acoustic threads she had formerly crafted, the band inspired Natalie to surge in a new direction, forming a harder edge to her song-writing tinged with an indie rock flavour.
'The Red Lights' gigged across the North West UK; taking in the 'Halton Youth Festival' (Victoria Park, Widnes), and headlining the last ever 'Fused' night (now moved to the Brindley Arts Centre) on their travels. This proved to be their final performance, as at age 18 'The Red Lights' disbanded.
After the demise of 'The Red Lights', Natalie decided to go solo. Drawing from her extensive gigging and writing experience gained over the years, Natalie quickly pushed on in an intensely creative direction, composing a musical catalogue of note: now forging darker, more haunting melodies and a bolder guitar profile than ever before.
Securing a weekly spot at the acoustic night 'The Song Writing Council' (The Studio, Runcorn), Natalie began to hone the performance and delivery of her new material, prompting rave reviews and accolades from many fans. It is with this new found confidence and self-assurance, combined with her song-writing and staggering performance ability that Natalie launched herself onto the LIPA scene in '06.
Natalie is currently in the studio recording a 5 track EP, the results of which will be debuted soon.
