Richard O’Flynn
Richard O’Flynn is an exciting singer songwriter currently based in Liverpool, England.
His powerful and emotive vocals coupled with his searching lyrics gives him a very distinctive sound which is complemented by an authoritative and engaging stage presence.
Richard writes simple but provocative songs which he delivers through soaring vocals and catchy melodies. His band is comprised of eclectic, like minded and extremely talented musicians.
Richard’s main influences include Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Sting and other vocal based music
In 2007 Richard decided to headline his own music, recording and performing under his own name. He recorded his solo demo live at Flashback Studios in Liverpool in November ’07. He is currently recording a number of demo tracks in his home studio (he funded this studio using a BBC fame academy bursary he was awarded in 2007). These tracks will be included as part of an album he plans to commence recording in the Motor Museum in Liverpool in October 2008, which he will tour in the UK and Ireland in the Spring and Summer of 2009.
Richard also appeared in an exclusive artist feature in Music Week (April 2008). His song ‘Hold On’ was featured on the accompanying CD along with other hits from artists such as Joss Stone and Kristian Park.
