Botanics are cementing a place of their own in the Australian music scene, delivering a genuinely stylish and rare Roots Hip-hop sound that appeases the senses. Botanics to date have built up a solid reputation as one of the most dynamic, versatile live acts in the country. The release of their debut album “Release the Peace” has seen them tour nationally, receive national and community airplay, festival dates and numerous soundtrack releases for Fuel TV, Channel V and Surf DVD’s. All this hard work has laid solid foundations for what is to come.
Now readying themselves to bring their next dose of Botanics music to the people they have commenced the recording of a fresh LP with producer Nathan Cavaleri at Sydney’s Song Zu studios. This new material will no doubt continue to etch a deeper groove in the Australian music landscape with a busy and very interesting 2008/09 scheduled ahead.
There is no doubting Botanics’ hip hop pedigree as these three young men have their roots well grounded and founded in the live music arena. Seeing Botanics perform live is where it’s at and a must for all music lovers. A combination of live instrumentation and two MC’s, their Roots Hip Hop style is at the forefront of the ever maturing Australian live music scene.
