My performing career started back in 1995 when I had the opportunity to work in Liverpool based studio, The Lab. I quickly created an opportunity to sing my heart out in a vocal booth, and after being heard by the producers I was asked to abandon tea-making duties to feature on one of their then current projects: a cover of Joni Mitchell’s Woodstock. This was to become my first taste of professional recording: I instantly realised I was “homeâ€.After that early experience I found myself involved with a host of different music genres, including electronic chill-out, dance and acid jazz. I had the opportunity to travel to The Miami Winter Music Conference, Rave on Snow, Saalbach, Austria. As well as Ibiza, Barcelona, Italy and all over the UK.My collaborations have led to world-wide releases including a 12†vinyl house track, Believer, and tracks on Volumes 1,3 and 4 of Brazil 5000, a bossa-tronic beats compilation series of albums.Crazy Times was featured on Volume 1 of Brazil 5000 and was released in the U.S on Universal Records and Shadow Records. It was also featured on Sunset Chill, a compilation album featuring artists such as Sophie Ellis Bextor and Royksopp.I am thrilled about the new chapter in my musical career. I can’t get enough of the rhythmic, soulful, melodic form of Jazz. I wish to peruse a much greater involvement in Jazz circles and I am preparing to take the Jazz scene by storm! These current Jazz recordings have taken place over the course of three months in Liverpool. During this time I have been very fortunate to have met, become friends with and worked with pianist and producer Mr Neil Everett. This man seems to have no end of talents and has arranged and produce all of the music you will be hearing on this website. I will forever be in his debt for unlocking a particular musical side of myself and giving me the encouragement to enter into the world of Jazz. The musicians who I have had the pleasure of working with on these recordings are:
Jonny McCormack (Double Bass), Steve Parry (Brass), Karl Penney (Drums), Tony Ormesher (Guitar), Mike Smith (Saxophone), Martin Smith (Bugle), and Helen Maher (Accordion).
