Ah ah, ça c’est la grande question, certains articles en parlent mieux que moi en tout cas : Avec plusieurs cordes à son arc, le chanteur saxophoniste du Grand Orchestre du Splendid Philippe Duchesne, se distingue par son parcours atypique. Il a accompagné des artistes de variété, comme le groupe Zouk Machine, Michel Leeb, Claude Nougaro, Charles Aznavour ou encore Nicole Croisille, Shirley Bassey, Gloria Gaynor...mais aussi de grandes personnalités du jazz comme Michel Legrand, Johnny Griffin, Phil Woods, Dee Dee Bridgewater ou Ray Charles.... Chantant également, avec big band ou orchestre symphonique à temps perdu, Philippe présente actuellement sur différentes scènes internationales dont dernièrement, celles des USA au mois de février 2008, un show de chansons françaises originales composées principalement par Frédéric Thibault et son frère Xavier Thibault sur leurs propres textes mais aussi ceux de Xavier Petitalot, Paul Maucourt, Pierre Dominique Burgaud et Stéphane Chapelle, en passant par quelques chansons anglaises dans des styles musicaux tels que bossa-nova, rock, ballades, jazzy etc..ainsi que certains standards de jazz purement instrumentaux, arrangés pour saxophone et quatuor à cordes."PHILIPPE DUCHESNE ET LE QUATUOR DE CHARTRES", est donc un véritable spectacle de music-hall né de la fusion entre ce chanteur saxophoniste du Splendid et un quatuor à cordes classique de renom, "le Quatuor de Chartres" (voir www.quatuor-chartres.com)ENGLISH VERSION :Hi there!
