Né à Bordeaux en 1945, François Biensan est très tôt attiré par la musique.
Il commence à étudier le piano et la batterie en autodidacte, puis un peu plus tard, la trompette.
Il étudie quelques années au Conservatoire de Musique de Bordeaux, tout en jouant avec des groupes amateurs locaux, et a l'occasion de jouer avec de grands jazzmen américains et français de passage.
Début 1971 il se fixe à Paris et commence sa carrière professionnelle.
Born in Bordeaux in 1945, François Biensan early showed a great interest in music.
He began learning drums and piano by himself, and later trumpet.
He studied some years in Bordeaux Conservatory of Music and in the meantime played with local groups, then went to Paris and became a professional musician.
