About Me

For over fifteen years, Arcanta visionary Thom Ayres has produced music that is meditative yet intense, strange yet beautiful. Powerful vocals singing the language of the soul are at the heart of Arcanta's sound, a sound that is timeless in every sense of the word.
Though Arcanta is widely known for its ritualistic and transcendent live performances, studio releases have been rare and often hard to find. "Book of Mirrors", the long-anticipated new album, proves worth the wait.
In new musical partner Julian West, Ayres has found the perfect collaborator. The resulting disc is smooth and seamless, lifting the listener to ever-higher peaks while gliding over sonic valleys. The arrangements are as strong and evocative as the vocals. Though electronically produced, "Book of Mirrors" has an organic feel, as natural as breathing, as profound as the beating of a heart.
Find out what so many people already know: The music of Arcanta is not just for listening to---it's for living.
