Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. - Groucho Mar

About Me

I'm one of many Americans living in Japan, and have been doing so since June 2005. My job is teaching English to business people and government workers, which I really enjoy a lot. Tokyo's an amazing place to live, and can get pretty crazy at times. Anything and everything is possible to buy, see and do, there's no place else like it......I've visited 48 of the 50 United States (hello North and South Dakota!), and been to approx 50 countries, hoping to reach 100 one day...... I love exploring other cultures! Places I've lived and worked include: Houston, Washington DC, Austin, and Chicago, as well as Tennessee, Alaska, Tanzania, and Germany......all told I've moved 23 times!......So basically the last 20+ years have been spent successfully communicating with people from a variety of countries every day for my work, whether it's been selling university textbooks and music CDs to overseas customers, or teaching English in the US or abroad. Probably the best way to describe what I do is to say I'm a professional communicator......Life's been one big adventure!
