Marcelo Avattá

One of the biggest composers and violonists from Bahia, Marcelo Avattá was born in Vitória da Conquista in the state of Bahia , where started to play bandolin at 10 years old with his father, a musician passionated for "Choro " who also taught him how to play guitar. At the age of 13 he decides to be musician, and at age of 14 with the incentive of his father enters the conservatory of music of the catholic college of Salvador where studies guitar with the professors: Leovigildo and Hélio Clóvis. At 15 years old enters the preparatory course of music of the UFBA ( Universidade Federal da Bahia ) where studies guitar with the Professors: Edir Cajueiro, Cristina Tourinho and the Italian teacher Leonardo Boccia. He also studies composition and orquestration with professor Aguinaldo Ribeiro. Starts to compose for solo guitar and write parts and studies for guitars. Takes part in the international seminaries of music of the UFBA where takes lessons with the professors: Henrique Pinto, Edelton Gloeden and Ayrton Escobar. He gets passionate for “ bossa nova and jazz” and plays for some singers in indoors presentations and recording songs sections in Salvador . In this mean time he becames the musical directior for American singer of jazz Julia Hammer, goes to Pernambuco to make musical direction for the singer and composer Pablo Felix. Rents a place and criates CLAVE his first school of music. Makes a quarteto of guitar named "terrace" and participates of the group "quize" and the "Sapiens group man" of instrumental musics. Makes shows with the singres:Guida Moira, Andréa Daltro, Clarissa Towers , Luciano Bahia, Dino Brazil , Rada Victory and Stela Seas . Opens the Guitar Center , his second school. Is invited to play in the group sound of Açores in Portugal . As a guest of the musician and German producer Bernard Snyder participates of the first international music festival .Founds the cultural center Musical Club in Salvador - Bahia , where he gives guitar lessons, harmony and improvisação techniques . Takes part for two years consecutives in the festival of music of the Radio Educadora da Bahia , where he has two musics composed and played by himself in the competition by the names: " Salve Hermeto "and" Fim de tarde em lage " both classified in the competition and broadcasted in the regular program of this radio. In 2007 He recordes his first compact disc "Moleque de Feira". Takes part in Dvds recordings and makes shows with the artistic movement “ecoreação”
